Blackbrook Road, Hamilton, MA
Mr. Dorsey worked diligently to bring about this complicated purchase of a premier equestrian estate in Hamilton for his buyer clients. “End of the road privacy” for the farm was what his clients wanted. The property also included a luxurious 6 stall barn and sand arena. In addition to including most of the decorative house furnishings, it also involved redrawing lot lines which added an additional paddock and 7 acres. As of April 2018, this was the highest sale in Hamilton in the MLS for the last 24 months.
Ipswich Road, Boxford, MA
Mr. Dorsey was hired by the Trustees of Reservations to find a discerning buyer for the c.1818 Cleaveland Farm. This beautiful property was protected for future generations through a conservation restriction on 30 acres as well as a permanent preservation covenant on the buildings.

An owner of a small farm had been approached by a buyer. Mr. Dorsey worked as a consultant to help set the selling price, and negotiate the complicated terms in order to meet the unique requirements of both the buyer and the seller.

Arthur D. Little Estate – Peter helped a family from Boston purchase this small equestrian property, which was next to lands and trails owned by the Audubon Society and the City of Beverly. The acquisition involved a complex negotiation process.

Chipman Hill Farm – A prominent Massachusetts family had owned this farm for many decades, and decided to simplify their lives. Peter found the perfect buyer for this stunning and historic house (c.1680) from among his acquaintances who were looking for a beautiful home and a large tract of land. From the air, the house had resembled an “E” with three wings. However, one of the wings was later moved farther down the road to become itself, a very large and beautiful home.

Apple Street Farm – To help settle an estate, this property had to be sold along with another large property in the area. A buyer was found who wanted to move to the North Shore from the Caribbean.

This 7 acre suburban-style equestrian property had to be sold for a family that wanted to move to Texas. The first broker the family hired was unable to find a buyer, but Mr. Dorsey utilized creative brochures to attract greater interest among the brokerage community, and a buyer was soon procured.

Choate Farm, a magnificent 50 acre property, which had been in the same family for several generations, was sold by Mr. Dorsey and another broker at Coldwell Banker, a sizable transaction. Part of the property was sold by the family to the town of Danvers for conservation, the rest went to the private buyer. In addition to horses, the family had raised cattle and honey bees, and had developed a spring water enterprise. At one time, there was a rail spur leading directly from the farm to the old Boston & Maine line.

This property needed to be sold to settle an estate, and Peter was recommended to the heirs by a local attorney. Offering 4 acres with a 2 bedroom antique house that needed lots of updating; a big barn with a second story art studio and a small unheated cottage; a buyer was found who had grown up in Ipswich; and wanted to move back there from Boston.

Hamilton – Peter had worked with these owners for a long time in their search for a new house. When they found one, they needed to sell their existing donkey farm on 20 acres. Much of the property had a conservation restriction running to the Essex County Greenbelt Association.

Down a long private driveway, this 4 acre “suburban” horse property needed a new owner. Using creative photographs and a knowledge of the current buyers in the marketplace, a nearby individual was able to find this property, realizing it complimented property he already owned.
