Peter Dorsey is well qualified to provide a full range real estate services, as he has held a real estate brokers license since 1978, and has been associated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage since 1987 in their Beverly area office. As a knowledgeable and thorough real estate professional, he is annually involved in many significant real estate transactions, and has many satisfied long-term customers and clients. Since the year 2000 Mr. Dorsey has been involved in over $60 million of real estate sales.
He holds the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation from the Massachusetts Board of Realtors, held by only 5% of practicing brokers. He also earned an MBA degree from Babson College in finance and marketing and a BA degree from Lake Forest College, where he studied classical architecture. He has been certified as a Historic Property Specialist by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Peabody/Essex Museum, and excels in the sale of antique and period New England architecture.
His institutional clients have included the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities or Historic New England, The Nature Conservancy, Ascension Memorial Church, Fiduciary Trust Company, The State Street Bank, Ropes & Gray and the Boston Archdiocese.
Mr. Dorsey has worked to conserve land and natural resources with the Essex County Greenbelt, a non-profit private land trust. Since 1988 he has served as a member of their Board of Directors and their Acquisitions Committee, once as Chairman. He also served for eight years as a member of the Wenham Conservation Commission.
Mr. Dorsey has been a 45 year resident of the Beverly, Wenham, Ipswich and Beverly Farms areas; growing up in this area as a child. He is expertly familiar with Boston’s North Shore.
