Choate Farm, a magnificent 50 acre property, which had been in the same family for several generations, was sold by Mr. Dorsey and another broker at Coldwell Banker, a sizable transaction. Part of the property was sold by the family to the town of Danvers for conservation, the rest went to the private buyer. In addition to horses, the family had raised cattle and honey bees, and had developed a spring water enterprise. At one time, there was a rail spur leading directly from the farm to the old Boston & Maine line.
